Most people recovering from an eating disorder feel stuck and overwhelmed.
RecoVERY is here to surround you with community and help you move forward with others. Whether you want to recover or simply stay in your life and out of higher level of care, we offer a supportive and encouraging peer-based community that also provides expert education, group support, and meal support.
RecoVERY isn’t a straight line, and now you do not have to walk this journey alone. Our community is for anyone that would like or benefit from having friendly faces and similar life experiences. Many of our folks answer yes to the following questions:
- Do you skip meals?
- Do you make excuses for not eating?
- Do you withdraw from social activities when food is involved?
- Do you worry about being overweight and think or talk of losing weight?
- Do you frequently check the mirror?
- Do you think frequently of what you consider to be your own “body flaws”?
If you think any of these things, you will not be alone in the RecoVERY Community; however, you will be able to access folks that can help change that narrative to something more promising and hopeful. We have your back and created a space for you to feel supported and make some real, lasting change.

The RecoVERY community is your home
Peer support is crucial in eating disorder recovery for several reasons, as it provides unique benefits that complement professional treatment.
- Engaging with peers who have gone through or are going through similar experiences helps individuals feel validated and normalized. This validation is essential for combating the distorted self-perception that often accompanies eating disorders.
- Peers can share practical coping strategies that have worked for them in managing triggers, handling stress, and dealing with relapses. Learning from others who have faced similar challenges can be valuable in developing effective coping mechanisms.
