Dr. Bakshi is a board certified psychiatrist, speaker, and advocate for mental health equity. Dr. Bakshi completed her psychiatry training at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Washington. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and co-chair of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals African-American/BIPOC Subcommittee. Dr. Bakshi is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and she has served in a variety of positions in various organizations. Dr. Bakshi is a national speaker on issues pertaining to mental health equity with a focus on South Asians.
