Rachael has 7 years of experience working with mainly the child and adolescent eating disorder population. Rachael worked at in inpatient/residential/partial hospitalization program for 6 years, and the last year at an outpatient level of care.
Education
- Undergraduate degree: psychology with a minor in social work
- Graduate degree: Social Work with a focus on Clinical Practice and Therapy Models
Philosophy
I use a person-centered, strengths based approach. I believe in treating the whole person and supporting their loved ones throughout the recovery journey. I use therapy modalities such as: Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Based Therapy, and Emotion Focused Family Therapy.
Why VERY?
The therapeutic values that I hold align with those of VERY. I believe that a doctor-led eating disorder treatment, with collaboration from a therapist and dietician, that can meet the client where they are in their recovery journey.
