Thank you for the opportunity to work with you and/or your loved one as you begin this journey in recovery! I have a passion for working with adolescents, adults, and families as they work to explore a changed mindset and relationship with food. I received a bachelor of science degree in Dietetics from Oregon State University and completed my dietetics internship in addition to earning my Master’s degree in Dietetics at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I first gained experience in the treatment of eating disorders during my dietetic internship, and after years of working in other areas of dietetics, knew that working in eating disorder treatment was my dream job. Prior to working at Very Health, I worked for 7 years as a dietitian for patients at the inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization level of care. I enjoy providing nutrition education to my patients and am often heard saying that all foods are “legal” and can be incorporated into your life using balance and variety. I have spent the vast majority of my ED treatment experience in child and adolescent care, providing education to patients on nutrition science, and with parents/caregivers on Family Based Treatment (FBT) and how to best support their child in recovery. I enjoy providing nutrition education to patients and families, to help them to know the difference between facts and eating disorder messaging.
In my leisure time, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, reading (mostly historical fiction), and exploring Colorado! I am looking forward to working alongside you!
